Since its foundation in 2019, Soinuak Haizean has been carrying out the task of bringing classical music closer to children, young people and family audiences. It has been awarded the Jury Prize of the Musika Bulegoa Awards 2025, and has presented its shows in the main halls around the Basque Country, including the Euskalduna Palace and Campos Elíseos Theatre (Bilbao), Kursaal (San Sebastián) or Baluarte Auditorium (Pamplona).
On the other hand, Soinuak Haizean has organized more than two hundred educational and teaching concerts in collaboration with schools in Basque Country, Navarra, and Cantabria since its founding.
They have produced shows for children and family audiences, such as “Barrokoko kontzerturik barrokoena” (2019), “Emozioetan zehar bidaiatzeko kontzertu txundigarria” (2021), and “Eko eta itsasoa” (2025). In 2022, they premiered “Itsasoa laino dago”, a show that combines traditional and contemporary dance, live music, and theater. The production of these shows has been made possible thanks to the support of organizations such as the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, and the City Council of Bilbao.
In 2024, Soinuak Haizean presented the symphonic orchestra adaptation of their show “Emozioetan zehar bidaiatzeko kontzertu txundigarria” on a tour of seven concerts with the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra (BOS).
Soinuak Haizean’s upcoming engagements include a return to the Kursaal Auditorium in San Sebastián as part of the Kursaal Eszena program with “Eko eta Itsasoa”, and performances at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Social Antzokia in Basauri, Civivox Pamplona, the Musika Dibertigarria festival of Bilbao Kultura, and other venues in Basque Country, Navarra, and Cantabria. In February 2026, they will premiere Filarmónica Txiki, an annual family concert festival in collaboration with the Bilbao Philharmonic Society. In April 2027, they will continue their collaboration with this institution by presenting the second edition of the Filarmónica Txiki festival.
We offer educational concerts for schools, with specific programs for preschool, primary, and secondary levels.
We also organize concerts for the whole family in theaters and auditoriums, and we strive to bring music to less conventional audiences and venues.
